The Cranberries - Scenes From 'Linger' (The Only Color Reel)

Scenes from 'Linger' / (The Only Color Reel) by The Cranberries Directed by Melodie McDaniel in 1993, "Linger" was filmed almost entirely on 16mm black-and-white film, a deliberate aesthetic choice inspired by Jean-Luc Godard's 1965 noir film Alphaville. But one reel was shot in color. A brief moment from it appeared in the original music video, desaturated and lasting under 15 seconds. This is the full scene from that reel: every take, in color, restored from the original 16mm and presented in 4K for the first time. Designed to give fans a deeper connection to the band's legacy, the "Scenes From" series strips away the traditional music video edit to present raw, 4K performance takes restored from the original film sources.
